This Makila is made from previously-marked wild medlar wood.It is decorated with sterling silver casings, hand-engraved with Basque symbols and it has a lower steel tip. It is a masterpiece of Basque craftsmanship, carefully handmade with the best materials and following a process that can last between 5 and 10 years. This cane is not only a symbol of authority and respect, but also a traveling companion that embodies the tradition and history of Basque culture.
Main features
- Medlar wood: The makila is made of Medlar wood, known for its durability and beauty. The wood is decorated with natural reliefs formed by the sap of the tree as it heals the incisions sap of the tree as it heals the incisions made by the craftsman.
- Manufacturing process: The wood is cut in winter, debarked in the kiln, stained with quicklime and straightened in the heat. This drying process takes between 5 and 10 years, ensuring that the makila is perfectly straight.

Horn and Silver Handle: The upper part is crowned with a horn handle, mounted on a threaded tube covered with braided leather.
